Our Dedicated Teachers and Staff

At Little Hearts Child Development Center, our teachers are truly the heart of our program. We carefully select team members who demonstrate patience, kindness, professionalism, dependability, and a genuine love for children. Our educators are more than classroom teachers—they are nurturing caregivers, positive role models, trusted mentors, and supportive partners to the families we serve.

We understand how important it is for parents to feel confident about the people caring for their children. Our goal is for every child to be welcomed each morning by a familiar, loving educator who knows their personality, recognizes their individual needs, celebrates their accomplishments, and helps them feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

As a Texas Rising Star program, we are committed to ongoing professional growth. Each teaching staff member completes a minimum of 30 clock hours of child-care-related professional development each year, including at least 12 hours of instructor-led training. Training is selected according to the ages and developmental needs of the children each teacher serves. Our director completes at least 36 annual training hours, including training in program administration, management, and staff supervision. (Texas Child Care Connection)

Our staff members are encouraged to go beyond the minimum requirements whenever possible so they remain informed about child development, health and safety, positive guidance, meaningful teacher-child interactions, curriculum, family communication, and current early childhood education practices. Texas Rising Star recognizes staff qualifications, orientation, individualized training plans, and completed training hours as important parts of a high-quality early learning program. All team members must complete the background checks and fingerprinting requirements established by Texas Child Care Regulation before being cleared to work with children. Our program also requires staff members to maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, helping ensure that trained and prepared adults are available to respond when children need care. Most importantly, our teachers are committed to supporting the whole child. Through loving relationships, purposeful play, engaging lessons, consistent routines, and positive encouragement, they help children grow socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and academically at their own individual pace.

When families choose Little Hearts, they are choosing a team that takes the responsibility of caring for their children personally. Our staff works together to create an environment where children are protected, encouraged, understood, and deeply cared for—because every child deserves a teacher who believes in them and every parent deserves to know their child is in loving and capable hands.

At Little Hearts, we do not simply care for children—we build relationships, inspire young minds, celebrate growing hearts, and partner with families to create a strong foundation for each child’s future.
